Much Ado About Nothing
Now & Then
Director Joss Whedon assembled a cast of his regulars to film Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, where a gathering at Leonato's estate (Clark Gregg) sparks love and immediate wedding plans between Hero and Claudio (Fran Kranz)... helped along by Don Pedro (Reed Diamond). They're complete opposites of Beatrice (Amy Acker) and Benedick (Alexis Denisof), who dislike each other even more than they dislike marriage, but it's Don Jon (Sean Maher) that plots to ruin their happiness. With Nathan Fillion and Tom Lenk. On DVD and Blu Ray.

The Borrowers
Now & Then
Pod Clock(Christopher Eccleston) has tried to keep his family safe, living in seclusion in the shadow of the giant Human Beans in The Borrowers. When his adventurous daughter Arrietty (Aisling Loftus) reveals herself to one of the humans, Pod and his family have to flee to the sewers to escape Professor Mildeye (Stephen Fry) and his quest to capture borrowers and expose them to the world. The Clocks find a guide (Robert Sheehan) to lead them to a new, safer home, but Arrietty isn't ready to return to solitude, and their family disagreement could jeopardize them all. The story of British entrepreneur Paul Raymond (Steve Coogan), Michael Winterbottom's The Look of Love tracks Paul's rise from his beginnings as a 1960s nudie club owner. As Paul's empire grows, spreading burlesque shows, dance reviews, and adult magazines, his lifestyle becomes more reckless. Leaving his wife (Anna Friel) for a dancer (Tamsin Egerton) in one of his shows, Paul follows his 60s empire into 70s decadence, Paul's hedonism leads to drugs and bad decisions, and he'll have to face the consequences eventually. With Imogen Poots.

On the cusp turning 30, Leigh (Kristen Bell) leaves New York, leaves her job, and returns to stay with her parents in suburbia in The Lifeguard. Retreating from her high pressure life, she gets a lifeguard job at the local pool and tries to figure out why she feels so lost... but hanging out with highschool kids and shirking responsibility makes her old friends (Mamie Gummer and Martin Starr) act the same way when they're with her. Though they all rediscover a freedom they've lost, they also have to accept who they've grown into.

Famous novelist Bill's (Greg Kinnear) life fell apart when his wife (Jennifer Connelly) left him in Stuck in Love. He passes his time with a casual hookup (Kristen Bell), but he hasn't been writing, and the shockwaves of his relationship have crippled his children: his daughter (Lily Collins) shuns emotional attachment in favor of one-night stands and his son (Nat Wolff) is a reclusive dreamer who won't reach out to anyone. As the rest of his family starts to grow and change, Bill is stuck in the same situation, keeping a promise he never shared with the rest of them. With Logan Lerman. On DVD and Blu Ray.

Science Fiction

Kitai (Jaden Smith) has never been able to live up to the expectations of his father, war hero Cypher Raige (Will Smith) in M. Night Shyamalan's After Earth. When their ship crash lands, Kitai and Cypher are forced to face the fact that they're stranded on Earth: a planet so dangerous, humans abandoned it a thousand years ago. Cypher, wounded in the crash, sends Kitai on an epic quest to retrieve their distress beacon... but to survive the journey, he'll have to become the kind son his father needs him to be. On DVD and Blu Ray.

When the recorded footage of the privately funded expedition to Jupiter's moons is received on Earth, the CEO of Europa Ventures (Embeth Davidtz) presents the mission's findings in Europa Report. Put together as the found footage compilation to the manned voyage into deep space, the pilots (Daniel Wu and Anamaria Marinca), science officer (Christian Camargo), marine biologist (Karolina Wydra), and engineers (Sharlto Copley and Michael Nyqvist) film their search for marine life under the ice of Europa and the hardships they endure on their way to Jupiter. On DVD and Blu Ray.

Killings

The reborn nation of the United States was saved from crippling poverty and violence by offering its citizens an annual night where everything-- including murder-- is permitted in The Purge. James (Ethan Hawke) made his fortune selling home security systems, so his home is secure on the night of The Purge: his wife (Lena Headey) and daughter (Adelaide Kane) settle in for the night, but his son (Max Burkholder) opens the door to offer sanctuary to a wounded man (Edwin Hodge) being hunted. They feel vulnerable with a stranger in their midst, but the entitled prep-school kids (led by Rhys Wakefield) hunting the stranger are a bigger threat-- if James doesn't send him out and let the kids do their violent, patriotic duty, they have enough supplies to break down his front door and "purge" everyone in the house. On DVD and Blu Ray.

Pastor Dan Bramfort (James Tupper) is taking his wife (Anne Heche) and children (including Rebekah Brandes and Jennifer Stone) to the small town of Stull, Kansas to lead their parish in Nothing Left to Fear. Dan is taking over for the outgoing pastor (Clancy Brown) who's helping him with the transition, and the townsfolk are very accommodating to the Bramforts, but when changes begin to occur within the family, they slowly begin to suspect that the town is not what it seems. With Ethan Peck.

When her mother dies immediately after the arrival of a mysterious package, paraplegic Nica (Fiona Dourif) is in mourning in Curse of Chucky. Nica's sister Barb arrives with the rest of her family the next day to discuss the estate, and Barb's young daughter Alice finds the discarded Good Guy doll that arrived in he package. As Nica and Barb battle over their mother's holdings, Alice has made fast friends with the doll she now calls Chucky (Brad Dourif). Chucky isn't in the house by accident... as the body count rises, his plans for the family unfold, and his new best friend Alice becomes the key to everything. With Maitland McConnell. On DVD and Blu Ray.

Recently dumped by his girlfriend, Simon (Brady Corbet) flies to Paris to gain some distance in Simon Killer. He finds some relief in the companionship of a supportive, pretty prostitute, but Simon is slowly crumbling... his ambitions in Paris first turn to criminal schemes to raise money to buy his new girl's freedom, but Simon's morality and inhibitions start to bend and eventually break.

Activist

Taking its title from the local term for LGBT people, Call Me Kuchu is the story of Ugandan gay rights and activism, and David Kato, the first openly gay man in Uganda. Centering on Uganda's proposed "Anti-Homosexuality Bill" that requires citizens to turn in HIV positive men for execution, the documentary highlights the institutionalized homophobia in the country, and the uphill battle for basic human rights in the Ugandan gay community.

Documenting the activists that have halted deforestation and saved endangered wildlife, A Fierce Green Fire is both a celebration of successful environmentalism and a cautionary tale of a fragile balance. Combining individual stories, each with their own narrator (including Meryl Streep, Robert Redford, and Ashley Judd), the film addresses The Sierra Club, the Love Canal, and Greenpeace's war against whalers, among others.
