Military vs. Aliens

Hot headed Alex (Taylor Kitsch) is pushed to join the Navy by his brother (Alexander Skarsgaard) to avoid jail time in Battleship, but even military service can't make a responsible man of him. When a fearsome alien ship crashes into the ocean and puts up a forcefield around Alex's destroyer and a few other boats, the Navy gets hit hard, and Alex finds himself in command. Outgunned by alien sci-fi weapons and with a scrappy crew of outsiders, Alex has to face impossible odds, take on the alien flagship, and lower the forcefield to let the Admiral (Liam Neeson) lead the rest of the Navy into the fight. If Alex can save the world, he might even earn approval to marry the Admiral's daughter (Brooklyn Decker). On DVD and Blu Ray
Acclaimed animation director Shinji Aramaki helms the fourth film in the Starship Troopers series, the computer animated Starship Troopers: Invasion, where an elite team of rangers is sent to rendezvous with a compromised starship and rescue any survivors. When a scientist's formula for enhancing organisms goes awry, he becomes The Amazing Bulk... which has as much in common with a Marvel comics character as Birdemic has with a certain Alfred Hitchcock movie. Can The Bulk stop the evil Dr. Werner von Kantlove's plan to blow up the moon?

When Alan White's (Kai Lennox) car accident costs his wife her life, his teenage daughter (Gia Mantegna) holds him responsible in Apartment 143. Strange disturbances begin to occur in their home, which could be messages from beyond, so they contact a paranormal investigator (Michael O'Keefe). The movie is seen through the investigators' cameras, Paranormal Activity-style, as they record supernatural movements, levitations, and disturbances that could be more dangerous than they suspect.

Almost at his deadline, screenwriter Jack (Edward Furlong) locks himself away in an abandoned slaughterhouse with no distractions in Below Zero. Guided by District 12's only Hunger Games survivor (Woody Harrelson), Katniss has to contend with glamour, publicity, and winning over crowds-- something for which Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), the other District 12 competitor, has a natural talent. Once the games begin, twenty-four players are locked into a fight where only one of them can win, but if Katniss and Peeta can make their mutual survival into good television and popular entertainment, they could buck the system and make it out together. If they do, changing the games and becoming a symbol to the people of the districts could upset the status quo held by the Capitol and earn them a powerful enemy (Donald Sutherland).
