Out of Country

Nader and his wife Simin sit in front of a jude in Best Foreign Oscar Winner A Separation, as Simin wants a divorce and Nader wants to maintain the status-quo... but the customs and laws in Tehran, Iran force them to stay together. Though Simin wants to leave Iran for a safer, more stable environment to raise their daughter, Nader insists on staying to take care of his ailing father. As an upper middle-class family, they can hire help to take care of Nader's elderly father, but adding a poor, religious maid to their already troubled lives turns their household into a case study of race, gender, class, and religion in modern-day Tehran. On DVD and Blu Ray.

The German post-apocalyptic film Hell travels with Tom (Stipe Erceg), Marie (Hannah Herzsprung), and her sister Leonie through a desolate landscape. Rising temperatures have turned the world into a sun-blasted wasteland where water is scarce, and the trio are searching for someplace where there is still rainfall and plant life, but the few survivors left in the world make every day a battle. When they come in contact with a woman (Angela Winkler) trying to keep her farm alive, someone who doesn't believe their oasis exists, they learn that different communities have different plans for survival... and the dark secrets behind them. On DVD and Blu Ray.

Friend to Osama Bin Laden and Kim Jong-Il, Admiral-General Aladeen (Sacha Baron Cohen) flies to America to stop the UN from invading his country in The Dictator, but when he gets there, he discovers his uncle (Ben Kingsley) has been plotting against him. An operative (John C Reilly) shaves off his beard, rendering him anonymous on the streets of New York, where he meets a left wing activist (Anna Faris) who's against tyranny, oppression... everything Aladeen stands for. With the help of one of his countrymen (Jason Mantzoukas), Aladeen has to foil his uncle's plans for democracy (and lucrative oil contracts) and regain control of his country. Along the way, he hopes to show America the benefits of Aladeen's style of leadership and the joys of wire-tapping, election-rigging, starting wars under false pretenses... the perks of dictatorships of which the democratic US government can only dream. On DVD and Blu Ray.

Killers

Former soldier Jay (Neil Maskell) hasn't worked in months and is having trouble supporting his wife (MyAnna Buring) and son, so he accepts a contract job in Kill List. Jay and his partner (Michael Smiley) start researching their list and finding their targets, but the longer they're on the job, the wilder and more violent Jay gets. As the job spirals out of control, the hit men begin to suspect there's more to their job than they've been told.

When the Paradise police chief is killed, Jesse Stone (Tom Selleck) returns to his old job in the 8th film in the Jesse Stone series, Benefit of the Doubt. He contacts his old assistant (Kathy Baker) and is thrown into the investigation with the state police homicide detective (Stephen McHattie), but the police chief job, and solving mysteries, has always been Stone's greatest talent. With suspicious behavior by a city councilmember (Saul Rubinek) and a mysterious stranger (Robert Carradine) on his tail, Stone has to operate under the danger of political and personal threats.

True Stories

Thirteen-year-old Luli (Chloe Grace Moretz) leaves home, hits the road, and starts hitchhiking in Hick. Catching rides with an unstable cowboy (Eddie Redmayne), then latching onto a fast-talking grifter (Blake Lively), Luli's surprised to find they know each other. Drawn into a strange world of cons, robberies, guns, and lies, she has to grow up fast. Far from home and unsure of everyone around her, Luli has to survive in her dangerous new surroundings, but how long can she stay before her makeshift family explodes? With Ray McKinnon.

Bernie Tiede (Jack Black) was so well loved in the small town of Carthage, TX that no one would say an unkind word about him, even after he murdered Marjorie Nugent (Shirley MacLaine) in Richard Linklater's Bernie. The rich, older widow alienated everyone in town, and, though Bernie was her only friend, Marjorie was still demanding and controlling enough to overcome even Bernie's gentle nature. Only the district at tourney (Matthew McConaughey) was willing to try Bernie for murder, but even then, the citizens of Carthage claimed they'd never convict such a nice man for killing such a mean woman. On DVD and Blu Ray.

Documentary

The new Disney Nature documentary Chimpanzee tells the story of Oscar, frolicking in the forests of the Ivory Coast with other chimps. Filmed over the course of four years, the documentary watches Oscar grow up, the evolution of his family, and his developing skills in dealing with the world around him. Narrated by Tim Allen. On DVD and Blu Ray.

Dedicated to the health and environmental benefits of vegetarianism, the documentary Planeat interviews scientists, nutritionists, and physicians about meat-free diets. Exploring the consequences of a carnivorous diet from a variety of angles, the film also provides alternatives, even offering recipes inside the DVD cover.
