Logan (Hugh Jackman) is living like a hermit in the Yukon and struggling with the death of Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) in James Mangold's The Wolverine, turning his back on the X-Men, heroism, and society. Summoned to Japan by Yashida (Hal Yamanouchi), a man Logan saved during the bombing of Nagasaki, he's drawn into the plots of a powerful family-- with Yashida on his death bed, the wealthy family could be controlled by his arrogant son (Hiroyuki Sanada) or his granddaughter, Mariko.
